Abstract


In the context of global digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) technology is revolutionizing college English teaching
models. This paper explores the construction and application of AI-empowered English teaching models in higher education, focusing on its
role in optimizing teaching design, generating multimodal teaching resources, and reshaping teaching scenarios and formats. With AI assistance, English teachers can design personalized teaching activities and support students in achieving self-directed learning, self-regulation, and
deep learning, thereby enhancing language proficiency and comprehensive skills. Simultaneously, the in-depth application of AI has driven innovation and development in English textbooks. This paper aims to provide theoretical support and practical paths for the digital transformation of college English teaching.
