Restructuring Educational Goals: From Human Capital to Digital Survival in the AI Era

Xinxin Gao

Abstract

This paper explores the reconstruction of educational goals in the AI era, pointing out that the traditional human capital theory is
facing challenges and needs to shift towards cultivating digital survival capabilities. This article integrates Amartya Sens "Competence"
theory with Feinbergs critical theory of technology to construct the Digital Survival Education Goal Model (DS-ETM), covering three dimensions: technological adaptability, cognitive autonomy, and ethical viability. Through the reconstruction of the curriculum system and the
reform of teaching evaluation, the path to achieve the transformation of educational goals is proposed. The conclusion emphasizes that digital
survival ability is the core of education in the AI era. It is suggested to formulate relevant national standards and establish an "AI Humanities
Laboratory" to enhance students abilities.
