Fusion of AI Technology in 'Design Technology (PS+AI)' Course Teaching Reform and Innovation Pathways
Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping multiple industries, and education, particularly design education, is poised to experience significant transformation through its integration. The "Design Technology (PS+AI)" course, which merges AI technologies with design software
like Photoshop (PS) and Illustrator (AI), presents a unique opportunity for enhancing both the teaching process and student learning outcomes.
This paper examines how AI technologies, such as machine learning, generative design, and image processing, can be incorporated into the
curriculum to improve educational practices and help students develop critical thinking, creativity, and technical skills. In addition to exploring the potential benefits, the paper also addresses the challenges of integrating AI into design education, such as the need for teacher training,
ethical considerations, and the balance between machine-assisted creativity and human input.
