Research on the Competency Framework of Financial Talents in the Digital Transformation of Universities

Abstract


Amid the digital transformation wave in higher education, traditional financial professionals are undergoing structural reorganization. With the advancement of smart campus initiatives, financial management boundaries are expanding from basic accounting to diversified
domains including strategic decision support, resource optimization, and intelligent risk prevention. The conventional accounting-centric
model, which emphasizes post-event documentation, struggles to meet the digital era's demands for real-time, forward-looking, and intelligent
financial management. This paper examines the practical context of university digital transformation, systematically analyzes new requirements for financial professionals, and advocates transitioning financial management from an "accounting-oriented" to a "value-creationoriented" approach to ensure financial security in higher education institutions.
