The Impact of Corporate Culture on Employee Job Satisfaction and HRM Effectiveness
Abstract
whereas the inter-relationship between culture and HRM effectiveness is concerned with essential inquiries in strategic human resource
management. This paper represents an examination of the dual impact that corporate culture has on employee job satisfaction and human
resource management system effectiveness as these cultural values, norms, and assumptions affect both individual affective outcomes and organizational human resources people management capabilities. Drawing from well-known theorist models such as Schein's two-level culture
model, Herzberg's two-factor theory, and the ability-motivation-opportunity model, the research concludes that three main mechanisms may
be associated with the influence of culture on job satisfaction: value congruence because it allows employees to experience resonance between
individual and organizational values; psychological safety because it creates conditions for genuine self-expression and risk-taking; and social
support because of the positive relationships and sense of belonging with others.
