Abstract
With the rapid development of big data technology, urban and rural planning and smart city construction are facing new opportunities and challenges. This paper discusses how big data can promote the precision, dynamics and intelligence of urban and rural planning, as
well as its application in the construction of smart cities. It is found that big data can improve the scientificity of planning decisions, optimize
the allocation of urban resources, and improve the efficiency of urban management. At the same time, the construction of smart cities driven
by big data can improve the quality of life of citizens and promote the sustainable development of cities.
