The Study of Lane Selection Model based on Speed Prediction

Shunli Li*, Zengqiang Wang

Abstract

Based on the operation rules of mixed traffic flow and the driving model, the stable traffic flow state at the lane level is predicted,
and factors such as vehicle type ahead, workshop distance and exit target lane are comprehensively considered. The lane selection method at
the entrance is established with the goal of minimizing time, the lowest lane change frequency and the lowest traffic flow oscillation, and the
comparison and analysis are made with the lane selection method at the entrance under the instantaneous traffic flow state. The operating efficiency of mixed flow is simulated under different traffic density, speed and penetration rate of connected vehicles.
