Research on Diploma Discrimination in the Employment of College Students from the Legal Perspective
Abstract
This paper analyzes the concept and classification of diploma discrimination, clarifies the definition of diploma discrimination and analyzes its
characteristics in the existing employment market structure. The analysis from a legal perspective reveals the regulation of diploma discrimination under the current law and its close relationship with the right to equal employment, and at the same time points out the shortcomings
of the legal governance measures, which reflect that the issue of diploma discrimination is often neglected in practice. Diploma discrimination
has a significant negative impact on the career development of individual college students, the sustainable development of society and economy, and the realization of educational equity. This study suggests that the government should strengthen policy guidance, universities should
actively assume social responsibility, and enterprises should optimize human resource management, so as to comprehensively raise the degree
of attention to the problem of diploma discrimination and measures to deal with it.
