Study of Aesthetic Selection and Translation in English and Chinese Texts -- Take the introduction of Changbai Mountain and Mount Kilimanjaro as an example
Abstract
to tourists, but it also indirectly has an educational function, increasing tourists knowledge in humanities, history, nature, etc., and enhancing their interest in sightseeing. The comparative corpus of this article is the Chinese introduction of Changbai Mountain, a representative
scenic spot in China, and the English introduction of Mount Kilimanjaro, a dormant volcano in Africa. Through the aesthetic selection and
comparison of the text, the differences between the two languages in the introduction of tourist attractions are found, and the impact of these
differences on translation is explored, which in turn provides translation ideas for English-Chinese translation and provides examples for the
aesthetic selection of the text.
