Abstract

The introduction of smart city concept in urban and rural planning helps to achieve sustainable development, narrow the gap between urban and rural areas, and improve the efficiency of urban management. This paper expounds the core concept of smart city, and then
analyzes the significance of integrating the concept of smart city into urban and rural planning, including improving the efficiency of resource
utilization, enhancing urban resilience and promoting sustainable development. On this basis, the paper focuses on the specific practice of the
concept of smart city in urban and rural planning, covering smart transportation, smart environment, smart community, smart government affairs and smart economy.
