Qijun Zhao

Abstract

English courses in colleges and universities should not only teach students English professional knowledge, but also cultivate students ideological and moral qualities. Reading is an important course for English majors in colleges and universities, and teachers should also
pay attention to the ideological and fostering virtue through education of students throughout the teaching process to cultivate high-quality
intercultural communication talents. To carry out teaching activities in the perspective of fostering virtue through education, teachers should
change the teaching concept, optimize the teaching content, adopt various teaching methods, build a student-centered reading teaching mode
that focuses on character cultivation, and cultivate both moral and moral English professionals.
