Dynamic Pricing Algorithms and Perceived Price Fairness in Travel E-Commerce Platforms

Abstract


This paper explores the impact of dynamic pricing algorithms on consumers' perceived price fairness in online travel platforms
and proposes optimization strategies. Dynamic pricing algorithms adjust prices in real-time based on factors such as market supply and
demand and consumer behavior, which enhances operational efficiency but also raises consumers' doubts about price fairness. The paper
analyzes issues such as price volatility, lack of transparency, and price discrimination caused by the algorithm, and proposes strategies to
address these issues in order to enhance consumer satisfaction and trust in the platform and support the long-term development of online
travel platforms.
