Daokun Huang

Abstract

China is currently actively advancing the development of research-oriented universities and the 'Double First-Class' initiative, progressively realising the phased objectives of becoming an educational powerhouse. Campus academic activities have emerged as a catalyst for
enhancing teaching, academic research, and talent cultivation. This paper examines the current state of outdoor academic space planning on
university campuses, exploring conceptual definitions, planning principles, and design strategies. It proposes optimised design methodologies
to provide intellectual support for the high-quality development of higher education institutions.
