Community Governance and Endogenous Development: Building a Sustainable Support Network Model for Dementia Care
Abstract
centric care model faces severe sustainability challenges. Grounded in the dual theoretical frameworks of community governance and endog
enous development, this paper proposes a community-based dementia care support network model characterized by multi-stakeholder col
laboration and endogenous resource circulation. This model, driven by five core mechanisms: (1) Party-building leadership; (2) government
society collaboration; (3) asset integration; (4) capacity building; and (5) cultural cultivationactivates internal community care potential to
establish an integrated and sustainable care system encompassing "prevention-care-support-friendly environment." The study argues that the
key to achieving sustainability in dementia care systems lies in facilitating a paradigm shift of care responsibility from the private familial
sphere to the public community domain, leveraging governance innovation to stimulate endogenous community development momentum.
This paper aims to provide theoretical underpinnings and practical pathway references for the transformation and restructuring of China's de
mentia care system.
