A Review of Research and Application of Lean Six Sigma Techniques
Abstract
evolution, and cross-industry applications of LSS. Research shows that Lean Six Sigma (LSS) has demonstrated remarkable effectiveness
in multiple fields: In the manufacturing industry, the implementation of LSS has significantly improved product qualification rates (e.g., the
First-Time Through (FTT) rate of cylinder head leak detection increased from 90.5% to 96.5%) and reduced costs; in the medical field, it has
optimized work processes and improved patient treatment outcomes. However, LSS research still faces challenges such as lagging theories
and insufficient practical adaptation. The future development of LSS needs to further deepen big data-driven technology integration and build
customized implementation frameworks in combination with local contexts to help enterprises achieve high-quality development.
