The Impact of Digital Transformation on Corporate Investment Efficiency: A Case Study of Midea Group

Zixuan Zhang

Abstract

Digital technology is developing quickly, and many manufacturing companies are now trying to use digital transformation to improve their management and use resources in a better way. This paper chooses Midea Group as the case and discusses its digital transformation process, main measures and its influence on corporate investment efficiency. The case shows that Midea has used digital transformation
in production, supply chain, internal management and R&D. These changes can make company information more timely and useful, help
managers make investment decisions, improve internal control and resource allocation, and also make market prediction more accurate. In this
way, digital transformation may reduce some inefficient investment and improve the use of corporate capital. Based on the case, this paper
also gives some suggestions, such as improving data integration, using digital tools more in investment decisions, and paying more attention
to digital risks. The study can provide some reference for manufacturing companies that want to improve investment efficiency through digital
transformation.
