Mei Liu

Abstract

This study centers on exploring the talent development framework for economics and management students amid digital economy
shifts. As the digital economy continues to transform the global economic terrain, a growing need has emerged for specialists who possess
both digital competencies and creative mindsets within economics and management arenas. This study begins by exploring how the digital
economy reshapes the landscape, touching on shifts within industry frameworks, emerging demands for specialized skills, and broader effects
on job markets and long-term career trajectories. The discussion shifts to exploring the present state of talent development across several dimensions, including curriculum design, instructional strategies, faculty capabilities, and assessment frameworks While addressing these areas,
it highlights key obstacles like integrating conventional and digital expertise, refreshing educational materials, enhancing instructors technological proficiency, and fostering stronger ties between academia and industry Lastly, it outlines several creative approaches, spanning innovations in the curriculum structure, teaching techniques, instructor growth, assessment mechanisms, and strengthening ties between industry and
academia. By adopting such approaches, higher education institutions are able to foster specialists that align with the requirements of digital
economy growth. Nevertheless, revamping the talent development framework entails an extended commitment and collaborative input from
various stakeholders involved in the process.
