Abstract
are gaining increasing importance. However, a critical issue that has long plagued investors, enterprises, and regulatory authorities is that ESG
ratings for the same company from different rating agencies often vary significantly, or even contradict each other. This study aims to deeply
analyze the basic concepts and importance of ESG ratings, systematically sort out the methodologies of major international rating agencies,
and on this basis, reveal the underlying causes of rating divergences.
