The Promoting Role of Southwest Border Ethnic Culture and Wellness Experience Integration in Regional Tourism Economic Development

Runmeng Wang

Abstract

Situated at the intersection of rich ethnic diversity and well-preserved ecological environments, the southwest border region has
shaped distinctive wellness resources and cultural landscapes, and the interaction between these two dimensions has revitalized the driving
forces of regional tourism economic growth. The philosophies of daily life, ritual systems, and emotional structures embedded in local ethnic
cultures inject deeper psychological comfort and holistic regulation into wellness experiences; the resonance between ecological surroundings and cultural traditions enables wellness tourism to transcend superficial leisure attributes and evolve into a composite, multilayered value
system. Once culture becomes an integral part of wellness practices, the structure of tourism products expands, industrial chains extend, and
regional branding gains greater uniqueness, prompting tourism development to display a steady yet outwardly diffusing pattern. The integration rooted in culture and embodied in wellness not only upgrades industries but also strengthens the resilience needed for sustainable development in border areas.
