A Study on How China's International Trade Empowers the Optimisation of the Global Supply Chain Finance System against the Background of the 'Dual Circulation' Strategy

Yunfeng ZhouYang

Abstract

The new 'dual circulation' development strategy is profoundly reshaping the nature of China's international trade and global supply
chain finance. China's international trade, with its massive scale, provides a solid business foundation for global supply chain finance; at the
same time, measures such as the 'shift south' and the upgrading of trade structures are reshaping the currency composition and service demands of supply chain finance.
??Digital technologies and financial infrastructure are undergoing continuous innovation and iteration; applications such as the Digital
Currency Bridge and CIPS are opening up new avenues for global supply chain finance and enhancing efficiency. However, to date, Chinese
banks have held a relatively small market share in international trade settlement, which directly limits the extent to which China's trade can
empower global supply chain finance. By comprehensively analysing the current state of development of China's international trade, this study
further proposes directions for optimising the global supply chain finance system, thereby providing a sound theoretical basis and practical
support for enhancing the influence of China's international trade within the global trading landscape.
