A Freeze-dried Truffle Powder Derived from Perigord Truffle: Clinical Trials and Efficacy Evaluation in Delaying Ovarian Aging, Improving Menstrual Syndrome, Regulating Female Endocrine, and Improving Male Function

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of a perigord truffle lyophilized powder in delaying ovarian senescence, improving menstrual syndrome, regulating female endocrine and improving male function. In a randomized controlled trial, we recruited 120 subjects and administered lyze-dried perigord truffle powder TRUFF-LP® versus placebo for a 12-week intervention. During the study, we used relevant biological indicators and questionnaire evaluation methods to systematically analyze the key parameters of the subjects’ ovarian function, endocrine level and sexual function. The results showed that the freeze-dried perigord truffle powder significantly improved the menstrual cycle irregularity and symptoms of women, and effectively delayed the related indicators of ovarian aging. At the same time, in terms of male functioning, participants also showed significant improvements. These results provide a scientific basis for the application of freeze-dried perigord truffle powder as a natural health product in the field of gender health, and promote the in-depth understanding ofits potential medicinal value.
