To Explore the Effect of Periodontal Cleaning Combined with plaque monitoring on Orthodontic Treatment
Abstract
Objective: Analysis of the effect of periodontal cleaning combined with plaque monitoring on orthodontic treatment. Method: A
total of 100 orthodontic patients from March 2023 to March 2024 in this hospital were selected as research samples and randomly divided into
two groups. The control group (50 cases) was treated with simple periodontal cleaning, and the observation group (50 cases) was treated with
periodontal cleaning combined with plaque monitoring. Periodontal health indexes, incidence of adverse reactions and effective rate of treatment were compared between the two groups. Result: The gingival index, bleeding index and bacteria-banding index of observation group
were lower than those of control group (P < 0.05). The overall effective rate of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control
group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Periodontal cleaning combined with plaque monitoring can improve the periodontal health of patients and has
a good effect in clinical treatment.
