Study on the Comorbidity Mechanism of OSA and Asthma based on Inflammatory Pathway

Xiaofeng Wu

Abstract

OSA-asthma comorbidity doubles hospitalization risks, with IL-6 levels 2.5x higher and NF-?B activation up 60% versus isolated
asthma. Traditional therapies often fail here. Challenges include <60% success in animal models and clinical sample heterogeneity. Proposed
solutions: 1) Multi-omics to map inflammatory networks; 2) Refined animal models mirroring real pathology; 3) Biomarker-guided precision
therapies. These strategies offer new hope for managing this complex interaction.
