Molecular Diagnostic Applications of the CRISPR/Cas System

Kangfeng Lin

Abstract

Nucleic acid detection technology is widely applied in infectious disease diagnosis, medical screening, life sciences research, food
safety, and environmental monitoring, offering significant value in pathogen surveillance, treatment guidance, and disease prevention. In recent years, CRISPR- and CRISPR/Cas-based methods have emerged as a novel nucleic acid detection platform. These approaches are regarded as next-generation diagnostic tools due to their high specificity, sensitivity, and user-friendly features, with promising potential for diverse
applications.
