Research Progress on Assessment Tools for Cognitive Frailty in Elderly Patients

Guanrong Guo, Dongxiang Zheng*, Kai Zhao, Qiuyan Li

Abstract

Fatigue coexists with physical weakness and cognitive fragility, causing adverse physical/cognitive outcomes in the elderly and
affecting their quality of life. Cognitive fragility assessment tools are disparate, with inconsistent research conclusions. This paper reviews
elderly cognitive fragility risk assessment tools, aiming to guide future research and implement its screening, assessment, and management
strategies.
