Innovative Pathways to Value Education for Medical Students -- From the Perspective of Ideological Dynamics and Educational Security

Xiawa Ma, Siwei Feng*, Jincheng Zhou, Xiaotian Zeng, Dawei Wang

Abstract

Nationwide data collected over the past three years reveals that Chinese medical students are caught in a "five-high / five-weak"
paradox: high professional identity but weak professional conviction; high techno-anxiety but weak humanistic confidence; high information intake but weak value discrimination; high academic load but weak emotional resilience; high social expectations but weak self-efficacy.
Algorithmic curation further amplifies career anxiety through an "overlappingalternatingcross-cutting" information ecology that erodes
positive classroom narratives. Drawing on the dual-process (cognitiveaffective) model, social identity theory, the information cocoon effect,
psychological capital theory, and values clarification theory, we propose a closed-loop governance mechanism"monitorwarnintervene
evaluate"comprising:
??? psychological-capital programmes to boost emotional resilience;
??? professional-tutorship to consolidate professional conviction;
??? algorithmic-literacy courses to burst information cocoons;
??? values-clarification embedded in clinical clerkships to sub-specialise humanities education.
??A mixed design of longitudinal cohort, digital ethnography and machine-learning causal inference is adopted for dynamic tracking and
effect evaluation. We conclude that value education must be translated into observable, practicable and assessable curricular items, and that
instructors should shift from "knowledge porters" to "data curators + emotional engineers" so as to cultivate gatekeepers of "Healthy China"
who possess benevolent hearts, skilful hands and digital-era resilience.
