Evaluating the Clinical Efficacy of Fire Dragon Cupping on Neck Pain: A Controlled Study Using VAS and Independent T-Test Analysis
Abstract
chronic neck pain using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and independent sample T-test. Methods: Twenty patients with chronic neck pain
were randomized into two groups: the experimental group received fire dragon cupping therapy, while the control group received conventional
physiotherapy. Pain levels were assessed using VAS scores before and after the 7-day treatment. Data were analyzed using an independent
sample T-test. Results: The treatment group showed significantly lower post-treatment VAS scores (M = 3.54, SD = 0.46) compared to the
control group (M = 4.03, SD = 0.42), with t(18) = -2.397, p =.0276. Conclusion: Fire dragon cupping, as a thermal and dynamic moxibustion
technique, appears effective in alleviating neck pain and merits further clinical investigation.
