Research on the Optimization of Nursing Staff's Multi-dimensional Career Development Path Based on Health Management-Taking Nursing Students in Vocational College as an Example

Huashan Zhang

Abstract

Under the background of the "Healthy China 2030" strategy and the deepening reform of vocational undergraduate education, the
role of nursing personnel has expanded from disease caregivers to health managers throughout the life cycle. This study focuses on vocational
undergraduate nursing students, addressing the current situation of their single career development path, weak health management capabilities,
and mismatch with market demands. Relying on a Ministry of Education project, it explores multi-dimensional optimization of career development paths. The research employs various methods to analyze the supply-demand contradictions in vocational undergraduate nursing students career cognition, competency structure, and development paths, constructing a three-dimensional optimization path centered on "health
management" and designing optimization solutions such as modularized courses. After one semester of practice, students in the experimental
group significantly outperformed those in the control group in health management skills. The study indicates that integrating health management capabilities into the entire process of vocational undergraduate nursing talent cultivation is an effective strategy to optimize career development paths and resolve structural employment contradictions, providing practical references for the reform of vocational undergraduate
nursing education and industry-education integration.
