Application and management Progress of Misoprostol in Induced Abortion of Second-Trimester Pregnancy with Scarred Uterus
Abstract
uterus during the second trimester, and to provide a reference for the clinical selection of induced abortion schemes for such special cases.
Methods: For one pregnant woman with scarred uterus and second-trimester pregnancy in our department, detailed clinical data were collected, including past medical history and current pregnancy status. Misoprostol alone was used for induced abortion. Indicators such as
uterine contraction, labor progress, and blood loss during the induction process were closely observed, and the induction results were analyzed and summarized. Results: The pregnant woman with scarred uterus and second-trimester pregnancy successfully delivered the fetus
and placenta through misoprostol-induced abortion, and no serious complications such as uterine rupture or massive hemorrhage occurred
during the induction process. Conclusion: On the premise of strictly mastering the indications and contraindications and conducting close
monitoring, misoprostol alone has certain safety and effectiveness for induced abortion in pregnant women with scarred uterus during the
second trimester, and can be used as an option for clinical induced abortion schemes. However, more large-sample studies are still needed
for further verification.
