Influencing Factors of Morning Symptoms in Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Abstract
and to provide references for medical staff in the management and intervention of morning symptoms in patients. Methods: A total of 314
inpatients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were investigated using the general information questionnaire, the modified respiratory
Questionnaire, and the Morning Symptom Scale of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD-MSD). Results: The morning symptom
score of 314 COPD patients was (58.6916.96) points. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that medication compliance, home oxygen
inhalation and GOLD classification were the influencing factors of morning symptom score in COPD patients (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The
occurrence and severity of morning symptoms in patients with COPD are influenced by various factors. Medical staff should manage morning
symptoms and provide them with more individualized and proactive care plans.
