Research on the Drug-Like Properties of Microbial-Derived Antimicrobial Peptides
Abstract
nism, which is less prone to inducing drug resistance, has garnered significant attention. However, challenges in drug development persist,
including high production costs, instability, and safety concerns. Researchers are actively exploring improvements in their structure and
expression. This paper outlines the sources and antimicrobial mechanisms of antimicrobial peptides, detailing the challenges to their dru
gability and directions for improvement. It is hoped that this summary will provide research insights for advancing antimicrobial peptides
towards clinical application.
