A Transformation Strategy Targeting the Neuroendocrine-immune Axis to Reprogram Anti-tumor Immunity

Jia Song, Yingjie Nie*

Abstract

Cutting-edge evidence in psychoneuroimmunology(PNI)suggests that reverse-engineering neuroendocrine networks can exert an
"immune licensing" effect on the tumor microenvironment(TME). This article demonstrates how positive psychosocial factors and exercise
interventions can reshape immune surveillance by remodeling tryptophan metabolism, reducing glucocorticoid load, and activating the central
reward system. Based on current translational research, this paper proposes that integrating drug repositioning and lifestyle prescribing into
the standard anti-tumor treatment framework, along with assessing and modulating neuroendocrine status, holds promise as a key to overcom
ing immunotherapy resistance.
