Modern Advances in Traditional Chinese Moxibustion and Cupping Therapy
Abstract
and technological advances. Current evidence suggests potential benefits through thermal stimulation, improved microcirculation, neuromodulation, and inflammatory regulation, with reported effects in low back pain, osteoarthritis, and neck pain. However, heterogeneity in
protocols and study design limits firm conclusions. More rigorous trials and greater standardization are needed to clarify efficacy and support clinical integration.
