Application Progress of Platelet-Rich Plasma in Male Reproduction

Shaojie Li, Ziwei Bian, Yindan Li, Yuwei Zhang, Hao Fu*

Abstract

Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP), as an autologous blood-derived regenerative medical material, exhibits unique biological advantages in
tissue repair, anti-inflammation, anti-oxidation, and angiogenesis due to its rich content of various bioactive growth factors such as plateletderived growth factor and vascular endothelial growth factor. In recent years, with the cross-integration of regenerative medicine and reproductive medicine, the application exploration of PRP in the field of male reproductive medicine has become increasingly in-depth, covering
multiple core directions including sperm quality improvement, clinical intervention of male infertility, testicular injury repair, and regulation
of benign reproductive system diseases. This paper systematically reviews the core biological characteristics and key preparation technical
points of PRP, elaborates on its application status and mechanism of action in the field of male reproduction, deeply analyzes the technical
bottlenecks and clinical controversies existing in current research, and looks forward to the prospect of its standardized clinical transformation, so as to provide a reference for further basic research and clinical application of PRP in male reproductive medicine.
