TRIM22 Enhances Radiosensitivity of Triple-Negative Breast Cancer: A Mechanism Study

Feng Cai

Abstract

Objective: To explore the effect and molecular mechanism of TRIM22 on the radiosensitivity of triple-negative breast cancer
(TNBC), and to provide new molecular targets and therapeutic strategies for TNBC radiosensitization. Methods: Fifty pairs of TNBC tissues and adjacent normal tissues were collected. Combined with TCGA-BRCA and GEO databases (GSE1456, GSE20685), the expression
of TRIM22 and its correlation with patient prognosis were analyzed. TRIM22 overexpression stable TNBC cell lines were constructed, and
CCK8, colony formation, EdU, Transwell, and neutral comet assays were used to detect the effects on the malignant phenotype and radiosensitivity of TNBC cells. A TNBC nude mouse xenograft model was established to verify the in vivo efficacy of TRIM22 combined with
radiotherapy. Results: TRIM22 was lowly expressed in TNBC tissues, and high expression of TRIM22 was associated with better prognosis
of TNBC patients (P
