Effect of Intravitreal Dexamethasone Implant in Diabetic Macular Edema
Abstract
total of 96 patients treated from January 2023 to December 2024 were divided into a study group and a control group, with 48 cases in each
group. Visual acuity, central macular thickness and intraocular pressure were compared. Result: After treatment, the study group showed better visual improvement and greater reduction in macular edema than the control group, with significant differences (P?0.05). A few patients
had transient intraocular pressure elevation. Conclusion: Intravitreal dexamethasone implant can improve short-term outcomes in diabetic
macular edema, but intraocular pressure follow-up and individualized management are needed.
