Vocational Competence-Oriented Project-Based Teaching Reform and Practice of Sailor Craft Course
Abstract
skills and professional literacy. Aiming at the drawbacks of traditional teaching modes, including fragmented teaching contents, insufficient practical training, single evaluation methods, and disconnection from real workplace requirements, this paper constructs a projectbased teaching reform scheme guided by vocational competence. By restructuring the curriculum system, four core project modules are
designed: Vessel Mooring Operations, Rigging and Gear Fabrication, Hull Maintenance and Upkeep, and Ship Emergency Operations.
A complete teaching workflow of Task-Driven Learning – Group Collaboration – Real-Scenario Drills – Multi-Dimensional Assessment
is implemented. Teaching practices demonstrate that the project-based teaching reform effectively improves students' practical operation proficiency, problem-solving capabilities and teamwork awareness, reduces training safety risks and material consumption costs, and
strengthens students' post adaptability. This research can provide practical references for the intelligent and project-based teaching reform
of practical training courses for maritime majors.
