Construction and Empirical Study of an Elderly Oriented Baima Tibetan Dance Motion Library Based on Lightweight Motion Capture — A Preliminary Exploration for "Digital Dance Prescription Practitioners"

Sha Liao*, Ting Zhang, Ying Wang

Abstract

Due to high data acquisition costs, the elderly-oriented health-preserving value of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) Baima Tibetan
dances cannot be turned into computable resources. This paper puts forward a zero-cost lightweight motion-capture paradigm based on FreeMoCap and Blender, and explores the construction method of an elderly-oriented Baima Tibetan dance motion library for seniors aged 65 and
over. Twenty main movements have been designed, and the collection and initial processing of the first batch of 3D skeletal sequences have
been completed. Based on the above, a construction scheme for the elderly-oriented Baima Tibetan dance motion library is proposed. After
standard annotation with 34 key points and several rounds of quality inspection, the preliminary dataset has successfully driven the graphneural-network-based dance-risk-identification model developed by the research group. It can be seen that the light-weight solution is feasible
for smart healthcare applications. This paper offers a low-cost, reproducible technical digital path for the inheritance and health-care application of ICH dances.
