Chinese Translation of English Film Titles from the Per-spective of Chestermans Translation Norms

Abstract


This paper attempts to discuss the translation principles of flm titles from the perspective of Chestermans translation norms. Based on three aspects-- audiences expectation, clients requirement and the original text, it introduces the translation principles of flm titles, name-ly information and text, attraction and relevant similarity to the original name, to guide the translation practice of flm titles.
