Abstract


In an increasingly globalized society, language mediation in public institutions is crucial for ensuring inclusivity and equity. This
paper explores the importance, challenges, and potential solutions for language mediation in Germanys public sector. It examines the need for
language mediation due to linguistic and cultural diversity, analyzes the benefits and drawbacks of systematic solutions, and discusses legal
arguments for the provision of such services. Key features of effective language mediation and the qualifications required for mediators are
also highlighted. The paper concludes with a summary of findings and suggestions for future research and development in this field.
