An Ecological Discourse Analysis of University English Textbook Discourses

Abstract


Textbooks are important carriers for knowledge construction and value penetration. In this paper, two discourses are selected and
analyzed from the perspective of ecological discourse analysis. By analyzing the distribution features of transitivity processes, mood and modality system, the paper explores the implied ecological ideology in the discourses.
