Abstract

Research on the field of new liberal arts began earlier abroad, while domestic research surged rapidly after 2018, with comprehensive deployment of construction work by 2020. Scholars have extensively studied the historical background, essential characteristics, implementation paths, policy interpretation, and curriculum reform related to new liberal arts[1]. However, there has been relatively little research on
dance teaching in this context, particularly innovative studies on the integration of ideological and political education (IPE) in dance courses
for primary education majors. The effectiveness of dance courses for primary education students is closely linked to the outcomes of aesthetic
education and the quality of quality education. This paper elucidates the significance of integrating IPE into dance teaching for primary education majors under the new liberal arts context, analyzes the current teaching situation and issues, and proposes strategies for integration from
multiple aspects such as objectives, content, methods, and teacher qualifications. The aim is to enhance the educational effectiveness of dance
teaching and cultivate primary teachers who are both morally and artistically excellent.
