Wu Zhens Inheritance of Su Shis Thoughts and Propositions on Bamboo from the Inscriptions and Postscripts of Painting of Ink-Bamboo

Abstract


The inscriptions and postscripts in Wu Zhens Painting of Ink-bamboo demonstrate that his art is influenced by Su Shis artistic
thoughts in many aspects. This paper mainly summarizes Su Shis related artistic propositions on bamboo and conducts an inductive analysis
of Su Shis thoughts on bamboo involved in the Painting of Ink-bamboo. It explores Wu Zhens inheritance of Su Shis artistic thoughts on
bamboo from two aspects: direct acceptance and indirect acceptance.
