Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) technology, as an emerging digital technology, has been widely used in the field of cultural heritage protection
in recent years. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the application of virtual reality technology in cultural heritage protection. By elaborating the specific application of virtual reality technology in cultural heritage digitization, monitoring and restoration, education and dissemination, etc., this paper reveals the new perspectives and means brought by virtual reality technology for cultural heritage protection, and puts
forward the targeted application strategies with a view to promoting the further development of the cause of cultural heritage protection.
