Siting Wang, Xingjie Li

Abstract

The Guidelines for the Evaluation of Nursery Care and Education in Kindergartens issued by Chinas Ministry of Education in 2022
mentions that kindergartens need to strengthen self-evaluation, and self-evaluation by kindergarten teachers will be used as a normalized
means to enhance teachers professional competence. Self-evaluation can strengthen teachers educational beliefs, promote their professional
knowledge growth, improve their professional abilities, and enhance their awareness of self-professional development. The value of selfevaluation by kindergarten teachers should be reflected in improving their sense of self-efficiency: establishing correct professional awareness,
increasing experiences of successful education and teaching, constructing a process-oriented and development-oriented teacher evaluation
mechanism, and teachers should strive to achieve transformation.
