Effect of Dynamic Geometry Software on the Mathematical Modeling Ability of College Students

Xiaoming Xu, Xiaoyan Li

Abstract

Dynamic geometry software (DGS) is a kind of software tools that can modify graphics in real time and dynamically display geometry graphics and their changes. Common dynamic geometry software software is not only suitable for the teaching and research of geometry,
but also can provide intuitive auxiliary support for mathematical modeling. In the mathematical modeling training of college students, the use
of dynamic geometry software plays an important role in the improvement of their modeling ability. This paper analyzes the influence of dynamic geometry software on the mathematical modeling ability for its reference.
