A Qualitative Study on Artificial Intelligence as a Tool to Support Teaching Practices- From Teachers Perspectives

Huijuan Zhang

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is closely related to human daily life. AI applied to teaching will play a prominent role in formal education. This article sheds light on diverse AI applications integrated into education from 6 facets. Also, the study demonstrates the benefits and
risks brought by AI utilization in education and providing several suggestions to avoid risks and pitfalls. More importantly, the current condition could not offer opportunities to employ AI in formal education at scale, however, comprehending teachers perceptions of AI used in their
teaching practice is an important step toward better use of AI in teaching and learning in the future.
