Abstract


The College English Test Band 4 (CET-4) is a key indicator of college students English proficiency. Its pass rate not only reflects
the quality of English teaching in universities but also significantly impacts students employment and further education. This paper systematically analyzes the factors influencing the CET-4 pass rate and proposes strategies to enhance it from aspects such as teaching model reform,
stimulating students enthusiasm for learning, and optimizing textbooks. The aim is to provide a reference for university English teaching and
help students improve their CET-4 pass rate.
