Discussion on Teaching Reform of Visual Communication Design under OBE Concept

Abstract


As we enter a new era characterized by digital applications, higher education institutions face fresh challenges in talent development. Universities must transform their educational philosophies to cultivate professionals capable of addressing evolving career demands.
This study employs visual communication design as a core subject, guided by the Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) framework and studentcentered learning outcomes. Through targeted pedagogical reforms, we propose innovative strategies to enhance students' self-directed learning and practical competencies, ultimately shaping creative talents in visual communication design who meet contemporary societal needs.
