The Relationship between Family Sports Atmosphere and Sports Participation of College Students
Abstract
facilities, and shared sports activitiesas significant predictors of SPA. Results revealed that parental sports behavior (?=0.32, p<0.001) and
shared activities (?=0.28, p<0.01) had stronger effects than facilities (?=0.15, p<0.05). The study innovatively integrates multi-dimensional
FSA factors and highlights the mediating role of family communication quality. These findings emphasize the need for family-centered interventions to enhance youth sports engagement, offering policy implications for integrating familial and institutional efforts in promoting lifelong physical activity.
